Uluwehi Hula Halau O Kapukui
My goal for myself and this Halau is to share and spread the "Spirit Of Aloha".
The ability to give and share without ever wanting or needing to be "paid back."
Slowly, and I do mean slowly . . . . on a daily basis I apply this goal to my every action throughout my life.
I consider myself extremely lucky that there are people who are a "positive influence" in my life, and the lives of others.
I believe in "OHANA" !!! I believe Ohana (family) is the strength of every Halau and what it has to offer. Respect for all, for we never know if he/she is a part of our Ohana.
I am very PROUD to be HAWAIIAN and what I represent as a nation.
I am willing to give and share the "Aloha Spirit" to anyone and everyone, who is willing to accept me and the PROUD CULTURE I represent with an OPEN MIND, OPEN HEART AND OPEN ARMS.
I have been teaching hula for 32 proud years.
This is one way, I keep my culture alive and share my heritage through song and dance.
Hula is just one way I/we tell stories of Hawaiian history and ancestors.
We interpret the Hawaiian language, through dance.
With grace, a smile, motions, and gestures the stories are told.
I am striving to achieve personal and professional goals with the support of the Halau Ohana.
With an open heart, open mind, open arms, and the "Spirit Of Aloha"
